Johnny Lee Abshire

Rubottom - Graveside services for Johnny Lee Abshire of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 4, 2020 at Rubottom Cemetery with Sister Ellen Abshire officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Mr. Johnny Lee Abshire was born on November 24, 1977, at Abilene, TX to Ronnie Dean Abshire and Janice Kay Gilbert. He departed this life at the age of 42 on Sunday, August 30, 2020.

Johnny was raised all over Southern Oklahoma attending school in Lone Grove and later obtaining his GED. He worked for Hulls Oilfield Services for many years but mostly he did construction, from building fences, concrete work and remodeling. He loved to build things especially with Lego's. Johnny enjoyed to talk, cooking, playing video games and watching cartoons.

Preceding him in death are his maternal grandmother and her husband, Leota and Pete Hunt; and paternal grandparents, Oscar and Annie Abshire.

Johnny is survived by his father, Ronnie "Ron" Abshire of Wilson; mother, Janice Cantrell and husband Danny of Gainesville; brother, Jason Abshire and wife Karen of Coalgate; nieces, Felicia Abshire of Ardmore, Elizabeth Mashburn of Ardmore and Mikalynn Riley of Coalgate, a canine buddy, Booger; and by a host of other family and friends.
