Lone Grove- Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Travis Morgan are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Cheek Baptist Church with Rev. David Gardner and Rev. Morgan Ashworth officiating. Interment will follow at the Morgans Rest Cemetery at Simon. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mr. Johnny Travis Morgan was born February 12, 1958 at Ardmore, OK to Mr. Jerruel Ray “Jerry” Morgan, SR. and Mrs. Ethel L. (Horvarther). He passed from this life Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Ardmore.

Johnny was raised at Cheek attending school at Lone Grove. He worked as a carpenter most of his working years residing in this area. He enjoyed fishing, attending swap meets and collecting antiques. Johnny was a long time member of the Cheek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his Daughter, Erin Michelle Ohlverter and husband, Michael of Maryland; Son, Travis Jon Morgan of California; Mother, Ethel Rowan of Oklahoma City; Father and Stepmother, Mr. Jerry and Mrs. Bertha Morgan of Cheek; Two Sisters, Ruthie Morgan of Norman and Jeannie Poplin of Cheek; Two Brothers, Ray Morgan and wife, Sarah of Lone Grove and James Morgan and wife, Tammy of Cheek; Two Grandchildren, Hailey and Hunter; Numerous other Family and Friends.

Casket Bearers are Ray Morgan, James Morgan, James Gillaspy, Allen Vandeventer, Brandon Poplin, Anthony Roe, Allen Elledge and Shane Pletcher.

Family visitation will be 6 – 8 PM Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
