Joyce Ann Fletcher

Joyce Ann (Riddle) Fletcher, age 80, of Ratliff City, departed this life on July 1, 2019 in the Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 A.M. Friday, July 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Ratliff City with Bro. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Joyce was born on January 21, 1939 to the late Mr. Clarence M. (Shorty) Riddle and Mrs. Elsie G. (Dodson) Riddle in Wirt.

She was raised in Southern Oklahoma and started school at Dundee and later attended Healdton Public Schools where she graduated with the class of 1957. Joyce and Mr. Jerry L. Fletcher were married on September 18, 1957 in Gainesville, TX. Together they moved to many different places with work in the oilfield. They made their home Woodward for many years until moving to Pruitt City in 1986 where they opened Fletcher's Grocery Store until 2000. Joyce went to work for Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City in 1999 as a secretary and worked there until her health declined in 2017. Joyce was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Ratliff City. She enjoyed reading her bible everyday, doing crossword puzzles and word searches.

Mrs. Fletcher is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry L. Fletcher; 2 sisters, Melva Riddle and Betty Stevens; Brother in law, Henry Wylie; Father and Mother-in-law, Hughie and Jossie Fletcher; brother-in-laws, Hughie Joe (Soapy), Don, Clinton, and Benny Fletcher.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son Ladon Fletcher of the home; daughter, Kay and husband Richard Butler of Ratliff City; grandchildren, Jackie Lea Butler and her husband Adam Brewer of Edmond; Russell Butler of Ratliff City; great granddaughter, Birdie Brewer of Edmond; sister, Peggy Wylie of Ratliff City; brother-in-laws, Charles Stevens of Austin, TX, Ralph Fletcher of Duncan, Kenneth Fletcher and wife Johnnie of Graham; Many other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Ladon Fletcher, Russell Butler, Chris Fletcher, Ray Fletcher, Derrell Fletcher, and Kyle Smart.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Butler, Lonnie Carter, Leslie Jones, Brent Perkins, Bryan Davis, and Levi Rojas.

Family visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
