Joyce Quick

Tussy - Graveside Services for Mrs. Joyce (Berry) Quick, 99, of Tussy are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Tussy Cemetery with son Clyde Quick officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Joyce was born on September 17, 1916 to the late Mr. William Windon Berry and Mrs. Claudine (Charter) Berry. She departed this life at her home in Tussy on Wed. evening October 21, 2015.

Joyce was raised at Tussy attending school there and at Pernell. She married Mr. Jesse Eugene Knight and to this union came two sons, Sonny and Gary. Jesse unexpectedly preceded her in death in 1940. Later she married Mr. Cleo W. Quick in 1943. To this union came two children, Clyde and Wanda. They moved frequently following work in the Oilfield, but always considered Tussy their home. Cleo also preceded her in death in 1973.

Joyce has always enjoyed residing at her home in Tussy and attending church at the Pernell Church of Christ.

She also enjoyed a good game of dominoes and she loved to fish.

In addition to Jesse and Cleo, also preceding her in death were her; Parents; Son, Leroy "Sonny" Knight; 1 infant sibling; and other siblings, Zula, Clara, Alton, Obed "Hoss", Birdie Lou and Daphne and daughter in law - Linda Quick.

Survivors include her two sons Mr. Gary D. Knight and wife Sherri of Durango, CO and Mr. Clyde G. Quick, Sr. of Elmore City; daughter, Mrs. Wanda J. Jenkins of Tussy; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Charlie Foster, Jerry Strickland, Dale Tivis, Kenneth Tivis, Derrel Tivis and Tommy Needham.

Honorary Bearers are be grandchildren .

Family visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday afternoon at the funeral home in Ratliff City.

A reception is planned for 12:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2015 prior to the service at the home of Joyce's in Tussy. After everyone will walk to the cemetery from the house.
