Juanita Ruth Monson

Wilson – Graveside Services for Mrs. Juanita Ruth (Lewallen) Monson, 88, of Wilson is scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, January 14, 2013 at Hewitt Cemetery with Rev. Sherry Kendrick officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Juanita was born September 4, 1924 at Wilson, OK to the late Mr. Elisha Lewallen and Mrs. Bessie (Carlton) Lewallen. She departed this life Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her home south of Wilson.

Juanita was reared southeast of Wilson near Ghost holler initially attending school at Bryan and then graduated from High School at Lone Grove in 1942. She married Mr. Neil Ross Monson on May 13, 1944 at Marietta. They began their family life together on a farm south of Wilson. In 1956 they had one daughter, Gale. Juanita was a loving devoted wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to paint pictures, write poetry, travel and take photos. Juanita could always find beauty in the simplest things that most others could not see. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wilson.

Her husband Neil preceded her in death on February 25, 2002;also preceding her in death are her Parents, Mr. Elisha And Mrs. Bessie Lewallen; Sister, Ilena,; and Brothers, Linwood, Darice and Splawn.

Survivors include her Daughter, Gale Clark and husband Lynn; Granddaughter, Misty Manning and husband J; Grandson Chad Williamson and wife Debra all of Moore; Great Grandchild, Connor Williamson; Brother, Aubrey Lewallen of Manteca, CA; Sister, Sylvia Montgomery of Amarillo, TX; Friend and Companion, Mr. Alvie Walker of Wilson; Step Grandson, Mike Clark and wife Kellie of Edmond; Step Great Grandchildren, Molly and Madeline. Numerous other family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ronnie Walker, Robert Herron, Andy Monson, and O.L. Gray, Jr.
