Kenny Morris Hazen

Graveside memorial services for Kenny Morris Hazen, 53, of Velma, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Marlow cemetery, with Dee Bowen officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Velma Chapel.

Kenny was born January 15, 1971, at Lawton, OK to Mr. Ricky Morris Hazen and Mrs. Jerrle Danine (Armstrong) Hazen. He departed this life January 31, 2024, at his home in Velma.

Kenny was raised in Marlow where he attended school. At a young age he went to work in the oilfield working for numerous oil companies which included Tilley Oil Service in Velma. On May 18, 1990, in Ardmore, Kenny married his High School sweetheart, the former Miss Kim Tinline. To this union the couple was blessed with two children, Kylie and Kyle. Kenny was a hard worker and truly enjoyed working when he was able. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, enjoyed fishing and was a big OU Sooners Football fan. Kenny had a heart of gold, a smile, and a hug for all he came in contact with. He is back in his mother’s loving arms as she preceded him in death on May 2, 2020.

Also preceding him in death are his grandparents, Jerrle and LaRue Armstrong and Bud and Carolyn Hazen; aunt, Kris Ball; cousin, Ty Armstrong.

Survivors include his daughter, Kylie Hazen and significant other, Matt Cook of Kingston; son, Kyle Hazen and significant other, Ariana Noland of Kingston; father, Ricky Hazen of Marlow; sisters, Rikki Southerland and husband, Jackie of Velma and Kenzi Hazen of Marlow; brothers Jake Hazen and wife Cheyenne of Velma and Zack Hazen of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Bryton, Haiston, Kreed, Hayden, and Kinley; step children, Lacey Burton of Duncan, and Justin Nubby of Ashland, Kentucky; uncle, Terry Armstrong of Marlow; aunt, Estelle Saunders and husband Steve of Houston, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Honorary bearers are Trey Saunders, Mike Tinline, Lynn Schrock, Sam Simmons, Jackie Southerland, Hunter Hazen, Aiden Southerland, Ryder Hazen, Stryker Hazen, J.J. Ball, Jerry Southerland, Casey Ball, Joe Harner, Nathan Farmer, and Dusty Armstrong.
