Keythel Henry Horn

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mr. Keythel Henry Horn, 81, of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Jackie Hartman officiating. Interment will follow at the Bomar Point Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma.



Keythel Henry Horn was born May 23, 1933 at Booneville, KY. to the late Mr. Willie Horn and Mrs. Jala Horn. He passed from this life Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Ardmore, Oklahoma.


Keythel was born in the mountains of Kentucky during the Great Depression. His family later moved from their ancestral home to Indiana, where many still live today. Keythel married the former Bessie Lee Watson in 1955 at Durant, Oklahoma. He chose to serve his country by enlisting in the US Air Force. He made his first career in the military, serving for 20 years, and achieving the rank of Tech-Sergeant. After retiring from the military, he made a second career in retail, working for Montgomery Wards and later Sears. He enjoyed camping, fishing, observing wildlife, and traveling, visiting many of the State and National Parks in the southeastern US. He was a very loyal and dependable man, and a devoted husband and father. Keythel was an outgoing person, who was always laughing and joking with his coworkers, friends, and acquaintances.


Keythel is preceded in death by his Parents, Willie and Jala Horn; Wife, Bessie Horn: Special friend, Wynona Harkins; Sister, Nella (Horn) Righthouse.


He is survived by his Son, Keith Horn of Baton Rouge, LA.; Brothers, Robert Horn and wife, Edith of Scottsburg, IN. and Ralph Horn and wife, Sue of Scottsburg, IN.; Sister in law, Barbara Watson of Wilson,OK.; Two Nieces, Jennye Preston of Wilson, OK. and Diana Maile and husband, Craig of Stillwater, OK.; Numerous other Family and Friends.




Pallbearers are Crusty Harkins,Charles Jones, Matt Burkhalter, Rounder Henry, Jeff Whatley and Jody Rich.


Honorary Bearers are Waurika Lake Rangers and Employees and Alex Rich.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Patient Fund Ardmore V.A. Center at P.O. Box 489 Ardmore, Oklahoma 73402


Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, OK.
