He was known for his love of speed and his ability to fix anything. Fixing up old cars and trucks was his passion, most recently completing a rebuild of a 1957 Chevrolet.
Kris married the love of his life, Jennette Lawrence Hays, on May 9, 1980, and they lived in Velma all 40 years they spent together. They shared a love for cars, basketball, traveling and time spent with family and friends. They were the happiest when supporting any event their grandchildren participated in.
Kris was a member of The Velma Baptist Church, and he shared his love for cars with others as a member of The Duncan Antique Car Club.
Kris was preceded in death by his parents; and his uncle Bud Brickel.
