Lela Ann Firestone

Alma- Graveside Celebration services for Mrs. Lela Ann (Sturdivant) Firestone, 83, of Ratliff City are scheduled for 11:00 AM Sat. February 4, 2023 at Alma Cemetery with Rev. Glynn Baker officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.

Lela was born June 5, 1939 at Duncan to the late Mr. Gilbert H. and Mrs. Alice L. (Carter) Sturdivant. She went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 at a healthcare facility in Duncan.

Lela was raised in the Ratliff City area attending and graduating school from Fox. She married Mr. James Keith Firestone on May 8, 1960 at Frederick. They lived in Frederick for a short while before returning to this area, raising their two beloved sons, Allen and Tom.

Lela was a devoted housewife and homemaker all of her years. She was always creditable with the taking care of the family business successfully and most assuredly was loved everyone. She and Keith traveled many miles together on motorcycle and within motorhomes. They seen the World together and loved sharing every second of life together. Lela done some Art painting in her earlier years and was always a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Rattliff City.

Preceding her in death are her parents; brothers, Tommy Clyde Sturdivant and Bill Sturdivant; sister, Virginia Oxford and a nephew Kellon Henry Brown.

Survivors include her loving husband Keith of Rattliff City; sons, Allen Firestone and wife Cathy and Tom Firestone and wife Tricia, both of Velma; sisters, Linda Hoehman and husband Dave of Calumet and Janice Brown and husband Henry of Ratliff City; grandchildren, Brian Firestone and wife Jessica, Kyle Firestone and wife Tiffany, Ashley Hoggard and husband Jimmy, Chad Firestone and wife Sandy, Amy Dunn and husband Eddie and Dustin Firestone and wife Anna; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Pallbearers are Brian Firestone, Dustin Firestone, Kyle Firestone, Jimmy Hoggard, Eddie Dunn, and Gilbert Sturdivant.

Honorary bearer is Chad Firestone.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Friday evening at Alexander Velma Chapel.
