Ringling - Funeral Services for Mr. Leonard Lee Evans, Sr., 76, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. Nov. 11, 2015 at the Gospel Tabernacle of Ringling with Bro. Ronnie Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Leonard was born on Nov. 10, 1938 at Rankin, TX to the late Mr. Oscar Lee Evans and Georgia May (McCann) Evans. He departed this life on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at Wilson.

Leonard was raised living at Cornish attending school at Ringling. He graduated from Ringling High School in 1957 and soon began a career in the Oilfield. He worked in the Oilfield all of his working years. He worked all over the world on drilling rigs, lastly as a consultant, retiring in 2001.

Leonard married the former Judy Thornburg on Nov. 18, 1997 at Texarkana, AR. They enjoyed residing at Ringling where they often went fishing and Leonard always enjoyed working in his yard. They also enjoyed attending church at the Gospel Tabernacle of Ringling.

Preceding Leonard in death are his Parents, Mr. Oscar Lee Evans and Mrs. Georgia May (McCann) Evans.

Survivors include his wife Judy of the home; children, Tonya Zebroski, Pam Gandy and husband Mike, Leonard Evans, Jr., all of Ringling, Angie Roberts and husband Joe Mac of Healdton and Lisa Spagnolia and husband Robert of Feasterville, PA; stepchildren, Starla Sanner and husband Jimmy Don of Ringling and Tina Haydock and husband Chris of Wilson; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 other on the way; numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Mike Gandy, Joe Mac Roberts, Leonard Evans, Jr., Jerry Gandy, Thad Kassheimer and Ronnie Webb.

Honorary bearers are Sheryl Lockwood, Johnny Higdon, Roy Provence, Haskell Blankenship, Frank Carriker and Gale Black.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
