Wilson - Funeral Services for Leta Ann Skaggs, 61 of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brian Baker officiating. Interment will follow to Bomar Point Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Leta was born November 14, 1959 in Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Earl Dean Barnes and Mrs. Margaret Ann (Bates) Porter. She departed from this life on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at her home in Wilson.

Leta was raised in Wilson attending school at Ringling and Wilson. In her younger years, she was a track star and was one of the fastest runners. She obtained her GED which she was very proud of. Leta worked at Michelin as a tire builder for 13 years before she starting working for Kleen Oil Field Services in Lone Grove for 22 years. She enjoyed planting flowers and spending time with her great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Tony Barnes and a son, Chad Barnes.

Leta is survived by her daughter, Kylie Skaggs of the home; brother, Tim Barnes of Davis; granddaughter, Megan Sanders, of Wilson; great grandchildren, Rebel, Rage and Raden; nephews, Jetty Barnes, Rusty Fielding and Jake Fielding; great nephews, Justin and JJ Barnes; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Barnes, JJ Barnes, Jake Fielding, Jetty Barnes, Todd Barnes, and Terry Norton. Honorary bearers will be Randy Barnes, Tim Henson, Gayla Henson, Wes and Gianna Hacker, Kim Taylor, Carol Ann McCoy, Shirley Richards, Tracy Roberts, Cynthia Gaines, and Roberta Shipman.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
