Lewis Earl Dover

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. Lewis Earl Dover, 83, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday January 4, 2013 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Rev. Chad Barron officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery north of Ringling.

Lewis was born September 1, 1929 at Childress, TX to the late Mr. J.W. Dover and Mrs. Rose (Roberts) Dover. He departed this life Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Ada, OK.

Lewis was reared in the Dalhart, TX area and lived most of his adult life at Amarillo and Ft. Worth. He worked as a carpenter and painter . For the last 16 years he has been a resident of Ringling.

He and the former Lucille Skeen were united in marriage in 1957 at Ardmore. She preceded him in death on March 5, 1997. He later married Lavada Mills and she too preceded him in death on March 4, 2002. Since her passing Lewis had been a companion of Lorene Pemberton who also preceded him in death on July 16, 2011.

Also preceding him in death is his Parents; Son, Jesse Ray Fondren. Bro, John Dover and 5 Sisters, Gerri Rabey, Mae Robinson, Doris Thompson, Ruth Carson and twin Sister Lois Dennis; and stepson Wayne Drake.

Survivors include a Daughters, Mary Anderson and husband James of Hurst, TX, Janice Blevins of Mantica, CA, Susie Earley Jones of Duncan, Patricia Castleberry and husband James of Lone Grove; Stepdaughter, Kathy Dewbre and husband Mickey of Ringling; Sons, Thomas Fondren and wife Ruby of Neeville, TX; Sisters, Betty Jo Cagle, Ruby Faust both of Amarillo, and Frieda Rush of Lafayette, LA; 11 Grandchildren; 2 Step grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren. Numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are James Anderson, Donnie Anderson, Terry Anderson, Tim Earley, Gary Dewbre, Derek Dewbre, Sean Collett and Tom Otto.

Family visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Friday at the funeral home in Ringling.
