Linda Gail Iiams

January 28, 1945 — March 31, 2024

Ratliff City- Graveside services for Linda Gail Iiams, 79, of Lake City, CO, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., April 6, 2024, at the New Velma Cemetery with Jared Wilson and Bob Elmore officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.


Linda was born January 28, 1945, to the late Mr. Wilburn Lester "WL" Blevins and Mrs. Gladys Louise (Ogletree) Blevins 3 miles west of Fox, OK. She departed this life March 31, 2024, at Florence, CO.


Linda was raised in Fox where she attended school graduating with the class of 1963. After graduation Linda worked briefly for Southwestern Bell at Oklahoma City. On September 5, 1964, she married the love of her life, Mr. Larry Iiams, at the East Side Church of Christ in Healdton. The couple moved to Bridgeport, TX for a short time then to Gainesville, TX where Linda worked for a Health Food Store. In 1984 they moved to Burr Ridge, IL where Larry was with a paint manufacturing company. When their three children were grown, they retired in 1998 and moved to Lake City, CO. with a second home in Canon City, CO.  She was noted for a green thumb in terms of gardening and landscaping.  Linda loved to go hiking and she was very good at it as she took a lot of pride in living a healthy life. She was very religious and was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. Through all of her travels, they were always in church every Sunday morning. Linda was a member of the Hinsdale County Historical Society and compiled and edited a book for the local museum called “Memorable Cooks and recipes of Lake City’s Pioneer’s”. Larry and Linda would have been married 60 years this year.


Preceding her in death are her parents, WL and Gladys.


Survivors include her husband, Larry of the home; daughter, Julie Iiams of Dallas, TX; sons, Darren Iiams of Houston, TX and Dan Iiams and wife Jocelyn of Loganville, GA; siblings, Janice Lloyd and husband George of Yukon, OK, Dorice Blevins and husband Bill of Norman, Karen Hutchison and husband Tony of Ardmore, and Jim Blevins and wife Gail of Tulsa; four grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.


Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Friday evening at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
