Linda Kay Ellis

Ringling - Home Going services for Mrs. Linda Kay (Denney) Ellis, 72, of Zaneis are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ with Bro. Billy Holder officiating and Bro. Paul Jackson assisting. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery north of Ringling. All visitation and viewing will be at their home in Zaneis.

Linda was born on July 8, 1949 at Aransas Pass, TX to the late Mr. Vernon and Mrs. Martha Denney and raised by W.B. Denham as one of nine children. She went to her heavenly home on Wed. February 16, 2022 at a healthcare facility in Oklahoma City.

Linda married Charles "Nickey" Ellis on Feb. 17, 1967 , leaving this world one day short of their 55th anniversary. She graduated from Southeastern Okla. State University with a Bachelor's degree in teaching, as well as Master's degree in special education. Linda had graduated from college with honors. She loved teaching children and spent 20 years as a special education instructor at the Ardmore Schools.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Vernon and Martha, as well as her stepfather, W.B. Denham; daughter, Lisa Manning and daughter in law, Barbara Ellis.

Survivors include her husband, Charles "Nickey" Ellis; sons, Charles Wayne and Alan; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brothers, James Denney and wife Jane, Roy Denney and wife Betty, Charles Denney and wife Joanie, Jerry Denham and wife Linda, Wendall Denham, Randy Denham and wife Lawania; sisters, Debbie King and husband Herman and Kathy Covert.

Casket bearers will be Alan Ellis, Richard Covert, Steve Adams, Randy Denham, Roy Denney and Charles Denney.

Honorary bearers will be Jerry Denham, Wendell Denham, Debbie King and Kathy Covert.
