Linda Kay Mitchell

Ringling – Chapel Services for Mrs. Linda Kay Mitchell, 64, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Rev. Bobby Perkins officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Oilve Cemetery in Healdton.

Linda was born January 8, 1948 at Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Cecil Glenn Pearson and Mildred Irene (Pike) Pearson. She departed this life Friday, June 1, 2012 at her home in Wilson.

Linda was raised in Healdton graduating from High School there in the mid 60’s. She married the late Mr. H.L. Mitchell on October 16, 1965 and he preceded her in death on June 7 of 2007.

Her and H.L. resided in this area all of their life’s together. Linda was employed for Shell Oil Company for 8 years before obtaining her nursing license. She practiced as an LPN for 25 years at the local hospitals and nursing homes. She loved to fish, squirrel hunt and enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.

In addition to her husband, H.L, also preceding her in death is her Parents; Brother, Cecil; Sister in Law Alice; and nephew Lynn Pearson.

Survivors include her Daughter; Terrace Mitchell of the home; Sons, Gary Don Mitchell and wife Sherri of Ringling, and Kelly Mitchell of Pennsylvania; Brothers, Robert Pearson of Ames, Jerry Pearson and wife Anita of Yukon, Perry Pearson and wife Janey and Ray Pearson and wife Marsha, both of Oil City; Grandchildren, Forrest, Ashley, Dakota, Kelly Jr., Loren, KK, Clay and Josh; Great Grandchildren, Cayley, Zeth, Taylynn, Briar, and J-Leigh. Numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Forrest Mitchell, Dakota Mitchell, Kelly Mitchell, Jr., Clay Mitchell, T.J. Branch, Steven Ward, and Joshua Wright.

Honorary Bearers are Joe Lester, Lou Brooks, Perry Pearson, Ray Pearson, Robert Pearson and Jerry Pearson.

Family visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
