Linda Louise Tate

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mrs. Linda Louise (Glenn) Tate, 73 are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle with Lafon Glenn and Billy Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling. Services will be Facebook Live.

Linda was born April 18, 1947 in Ringling, OK to the late Mr. Quinton Glenn and Mrs. Dorothy Louise (Whatley) Glenn. She departed from this life on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Durant, OK.

Linda was raised in the Ringling and Cornish area graduating from Ringling High School in 1965. Linda began working at the age of 12 years old at Butler's Dairy Queen for 35 cents an hour until the age of 18. She then attended college at Murray State College in Tishomingo, belonging to the Honor Society Delta Kappa, receiving her Associates Business Degree.

Linda and the late Mr. Harvey Tate were united in marriage on April 7, 1967 at Healdton. She always had a passion for serving others and cooking. She worked for several restaurants throughout her years, including the 70's Cafe of Ringling, Burger Run of Muskogee and was said to make the best honey buns. She always loved spending time with her family and working crossword puzzles. She liked watching soap operas and the Price is Right. Linda always expressed her love to others by cooking for an army.

Preceding her in death are her parents; daughter, Lelannie Taylor; sister, Sue Weatherford and her husband Harvey.

Survivors include her daughter, Yolanda Bailey and husband Charles of Durant; son, Tim Glenn and wife Becky of Healdton; brothers, Lafon Glenn and wife Karen of Ringling, Tommy Glenn of Cornish and Terry Glenn and wife Kelly of Oklahoma City; 8 grandchildren, Mark, Josh, Matt, Katie, Kasey, Ashleigh, Joseph and Derek;14 great grandchildren; numerous other nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Casket bearers Mark Glenn, Josh Glenn, Matt Glenn, Kasey Cox, Joseph Taylor, Derek Taylor and Chad Cole.

Family visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm Thursday at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
