Lois Mae Henley

Healdton - Graveside Services for Mrs. Lois Mae (Norton) Henley, 84, of Healdton are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at Mt. Olive Cemetery of Healdton with Rev. Dan Stewart officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mrs. Lois Henley was born May 3, 1930 at Healdton to the late Mr. Roy W. Norton and Mrs. Hazel Margret (Heald) Norton. She departed this life Friday November 7, 2014 at the Wilson Nursing Home.

Lois was raised at Healdton attending school there. She was a granddaughter to Mr. Charles Hobart Heald, whom the City of Healdton was named after. She and Mr. Robert D. Henley was united in marriage at Healdton. They resided all of their lives together in Healdton. Lois attended the Shell Street Church of Christ when her health allowed her. She was employed outside the home at Johnson-Eck Drugstore of Healdton for many years. Lois enjoyed gardening and was always a great cook.

Her husband Robert, preceded her in death exactly 29 years ago on Nov. 7, 1985. Also preceding her in death are her Parents; Brothers, Lyndon and Roland Norton; Sister, Wanda Jean Morgan and an infant grandson - Justus Montana Kerley.

Survivors include her 3 sons, Robert Henley and wife Paula of Meredith, NH, Charles M. Henley and wife Donna and Dennis W. Henley, all of Healdton; Brother, Charles Norton of Atlanta, GA; 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Numerous other family and friends.

Honorary Bearers are Randy Stepp, Kerry Don Stepp, Mike Fondren and Jesse Henley.

Family visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Sunday Evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
