Loy "Deane" Harmon

Lone Grove- Graveside services for Loy "Deane" (Roberts) Harmon, 83, formerly of Graham, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the Lone Grove Cemetery with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Deane was born June 18, 1939, to the late Mr. James Loyd Roberts and Mrs. Essie (Powell) Roberts Kilcrease at Lone Grove, OK. She departed this life Friday, August 5, 2022, at the Heritage Skilled Nursing Center in Tecumseh, OK.

Deane graduated from Graham High School with the class of 1958. She attended beauty school soon after graduation. Deane owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years before opening her own beauty supply in Duncan. She followed that with a successful career at Sally’s Beauty Supply in Oklahoma City. After leaving the beauty supply industry, she devoted her life to being a caregiver for older adults. She also served as a rural mail carrier in the Fox, Graham, and Healdton area. Deane was an active member of Midway Freewill Baptist church while she lived in the Graham and Fox communities and enjoyed playing the piano as well as singing, especially with her sister, Janette Watkins and dear friend, Sharon Lewis. She lived in Norman, OK after retirement and was an avid fan of both the University of Oklahoma football and basketball teams.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Essie; step-father, J.B. “Buster” Kilcrease; son, Terry D. Harmon; granddaughter, Natosha Harmon, and a sister, Janette Watkins.

Deane is survived by sons, David A. Harmon of Norman and Michael S. Harmon and wife Karla of Sapulpa, OK; grandchildren, Michael C. Harmon, Kyle Harmon, Erik Harmon, Dane Harmon and wife Anita, Alissa Crabtree and husband Trae, Neal Harmon and wife Myra; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Harmon, Michael Harmon, Dane Harmon, Neal Harmon, Erik Harmon, and Chase Echols.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M., Wednesday evening at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home at Healdton.
