Lucinda Leigh Coomer

Wilson - Funeral services for Mrs. Lucinda "Cindy" Leigh (Willis) Coomer, 63, formerly of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, July 27, 2020, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Waylon Dancer officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson.

Cindy was born on August 21, 1956, at Joplin, MO to the late Mr. William "Bill" Almon Willis and Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Ruth (Allen) Willis. She departed this life on Thursday evening July 23, 2020, at Marietta.

Cindy moved to Wilson during her sixth-grade year, living beforehand at Gallup, NM. She graduated from Wilson High School, class of 1974. Afterward, she moved to Wichita Falls, TX where she attended Business College. In 1992, she wedded Mr. Jonathan Coomer and to this union, they were blessed with a child named Adam in 1995. Cindy resided at Ft. Smith, AR for a lot of years before moving to Marietta in 2008 to be closer to her father Bill. She gained employment at Win Star as a Casino Attendant, where she currently was working. Some of Cindy's life enjoyments were scuba diving and horses. She was a member of the Wilson First United Methodist Church.

Preceding Cindy is her parents, Mr. Bill and Mrs. Polly Willis; a brother, Jr. Willis and former husband, Jonathan Coomer.

Survivors include her son Adam Coomer of Austin, TX; brother, Bobby Willis, and wife Paula of Ardmore; aunts, Willa Murray of Joplin, MO, and Jeannie Alter of Bella Vista, AR; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

Casket bearers will be friends and family attending service.

Honorary bearers are Lowell and Denora Coomer, Randy Murray, Ron Murray, and Mike Murray.

Family visitation will be held from 6 pm to 7 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
