Mark Allen King

Ringling- Services for Mark Allen King, 62, of Denison, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the Alexander Gray funeral Home Chapel in Ringling with Colby Wadley and Michael King officiating. Interment will follow at Cornish Cemetery.

Mark was born on October 4, 1961, at Ringling, to the late Mr. Thurman Dale King and Mrs. Erika Marie (Luppert) King. He departed this life on April 4, 2024, at Denison, TX.

Mark was raised in Ringling where he attended school, graduating with the class of 1979. After graduation, he went to work in the oilfield and also worked building oil well pumps and other supplies. Mark opened his own mechanic shop in the late 1980’s. He married the former Miss Debbie Buchmiller on January 7, 1989, at the Ringling Community Fellowship Church. The couple made their home in Gustine, TX and Mark went to work for his uncle as a ranch hand then later worked for MoorMan’s in Comanche, OK, making cattle cubes, salt blocks, and such. Mark and Debbie moved to Denison, TX and he began working for TLT Construction Company. He had an unfortunate accident at work which resulted in him being electrocuted, but he recovered well from that over time. Marks most recent job was working as the Department Manager for the Automotive Department at Walmart in Sherman, TX where he was employed for over 19 years. He loved to fish and had a large collection of fishing reels and collecting old knives such as Old Timer brands.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Erika; stepmother, Thirza and great nephew, Hudson King.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie of the home; sons, Leslie King and wife Amber and Patrick King and wife Raegan all of Denison, TX; siblings, Kenneth Paul King and wife Karen Ann of Oklahoma City, Sue Kelly and husband Bill of Burneyville, OK, and Stephanie King of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, McKenzie Rae King, Zakary King, Carter Swindell, Jackson King, and Kennedy King; many nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Leslie King, Patrick King, C.K. Kelley, Chase Kelley, Sam Edwards, Jeremy Cottrell, Michael King, and Joey Boatner.

Honorary bearers are J.D. Kelley, Kabe Kelley, Braxten Kelley, Luke Kelley, Carter Swindell, Jackson King, Zakary King, Finley Boatner, Tucker Edwards, and Landon Cottrell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling.
