Martha Lucinda Hooper

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mrs. Martha Lucinda Hooper, 83 of Lone Grove are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Lafon Glenn officiating.  Interment services are scheduled at Pope Cemetery in Mulberry, AR.  

Martha was born January 30, 1940 in Santa Ana, CA to the late Mr. Willie Everett Burkhardt and Mrs. Frances Onema (Atebeary) Burkhardt Henninger.  She departed from this life on December 27, 2023 at her home in Lone Grove. 

Martha was raised in California.  She loved to travel and just live life.  Martha was a devoted homemaker, she enjoyed her grandchildren and centered her entire life around her family.  In her younger years, she ran an in-home childcare business and absolutely loved it.   "Mom" had a hard time saying NO, if you asked her if she wanted to do something she simply stated yes!  Martha never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went.   She loved sign language and enjoyed interpreting songs at church. 

Preceding her in death was her parents; husband, Garland; brothers, William Burkhardt and Ronald Burkhardt; and a sister, Wilma June.

Martha is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Inselman and husband Willy of Wilson; Lucinda Carrasco and husband Sam, and a son, Donald Sharp and wife Weng; grandchildren ,Rekhel Clay and husband Dalton, Wyatt Doran, Heidi Inselman, Samuel Carrasco, Kayla Carrasco, Devon Sharp, Dylan Sharp, and Robert Sharp and by a host of other family and friends. 

Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
