Mary Kaye Corbin

Wilson - Mary Kaye Corbin, of Wilson, departed this life on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Mercy Hospital of Healdton at the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 17 days. Inurnment services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 8, 2023 at the Sentinel Cemetery in Sentinel, Oklahoma with family officiating. Visitation will be held from 3-5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mary was born on July 16, 1949 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Mr. Dana Dee Corbin and Mrs. Alice Maxine Corbin.

She was raised at Sentinel and graduated from Sentinel High School with the Class of 1967. Most of her prior school years were spent attending school at Port. She then attended Southwestern Oklahoma University in Weatherford, studying education. Mary married Mr. Ben Forsythe and to this union they were blessed with two sons, Joshua Ben and Ben Davis Forsythe. She began her teaching career at Wilson Public Schools, later teaching at Guthrie and lastly at Dale. She was primarily an elementary educator until retiring in 2018. Mary enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and loved anything involving her grandkids. She was always the most loving grandma Mary.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cuba Mash: brother, Dan Corbin; and nephew, Dallas Corbin.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Joshua Ben Forsythe and wife Valerie of Dale; Ben Davis Forsythe and wife Marlie of Wilson; brothers, Dee Max Corbin and wife Kim of Sentinel, David Corbin and wife Teri of Hobart, Darrell Corbin of Sentinel, and Don Corbin of Sentinel; grandchildren, Dallen, Dayton, Denton, Kaden, Kalyn, and Kyler Forsythe.
