Healdton - Funeral Services for Melissa "Missy" Nell (Murray) Ellis, 50, of Healdton are scheduled for 10:00am Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton, 65 Golf Course Rd. , with Rev. Raymond Norton officiating. Interment will follow at Oil Springs Cemetery near Oil City.

Missy was born on October 15, 1968 at Wilson to Mr. James Junior Murray and Mrs. Waynell (Langley) Murray. She departed this life on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at her home in Healdton.

Missy was raised at Graham, graduating from Graham High School in 1986. At the age of 18 she married Mr. Phillip Ellis on July 24, 1987 at Elmore City. They initially made their home in Ratliff City and have since resided in Healdton for the last 12 years. Missy primarily worked within her own home as a devoted homemaker. Missy enjoyed staying at home where she always done a lot of sewing and other needle work. She also loved playing karaoke and singing for different occasions, especially at worship services. She was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church of Wilson.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Waynell Murray and an infant brother, James Marshall Murray.

Survivors include her husband Phillip Ellis of the home in Healdton; father, Junior Murray of Clemscott; son Brandon Ellis and wife Jessica of Healdton; daughter, Ashley Barrientez and husband Bobby of Fletcher; two grandchildren whom they have raised like their own, Matthew and Marshall English of the home; 7 other grandchildren; 3 brothers, Timmy Murray of Clemscott, Allen Murray and fiancé Denise Rios of Fox and Casey Murray of Lawton; sister, Lahoma Williams and husband Heath of Fox; sister in law, Vallie Murray of Wilson and a best friend who was like another sister, Beulah Hess and her husband Eddie of Healdton; numerous other family, church family and friends.

Casket Bearers will be Darren Langley, Kenny Murray, Marcus Murray, Jason Langley, Billy Murray and Don Langley.

Honorary Bearers are her grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Friday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.
