Michael Curtis Smith

Ringling - Private Inurnment Memorial Services are being held at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery of Ringling for Mr. Michael "Mike" Curtis Smith, 73, who passed away at his home Tuesday December 2, 2014. Arrangements are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory of Ringling.

Mike was born to February 27, 1941 at Cornish to the late Mr. Curtis Smith and Mrs. June Iona (Barnes) Smith. He was raised primarily at California joining the United States Army as a young man. He served honorably in Germany and soon after his discharge he attended college where he earned his degree in Psychology.

Mike moved to Ringling in the late 90's. He worked some as a carpenter but always took pride in caring for the elderly and disabled. Often he would provide much needed transportation to the doctor and Wal- Mart for persons who had no other way. He never charged for his services and was considered a very caring and loving person to the community of Ringling.

Preceding him in death are Parents, Mr. Curtis Smith and Mrs. June (Barnes) Chuilli; Brothers, Timothy, Lynn and Tony and a sister, Patsy.

Survivors include Daughters, Amber Smith of San Diego, CA and Crystal Smith of Wisconsin; Special Companion, Laveda Kelley of Healdton; other friends whom were like family, Larry Parker, Mike and Pam Gandy, and Bill Tipps, all of Ringling.
