Mildred Irene Roberts

Mildred was born August 13, 1928 At Union Hill, south of Ringling to the late Mr. Pearl Andrew Lyle and Mrs. Maude Mae (Davis) Lyle. She went to be with the Lord and Savior on Monday morning May 4, 2015 at her home in Ringling.

Mildred was raised at Centerpoint and Orr area attending school there. She garaduated high school at Orr in 1946. Shortly before graduating she and Mr. Isaac “Ike” Roberts were united in marriage on March 10, 1946. They lived in Orr initially and then later at Wilson. They made their home in Ringling the majority of their lives. Mildred worked outside the home as a caregiver for several families. She was always a devoted homemaker and housewife who dearly loved and adored her family.

Mildred loved to dance and travel. She always attended all of her grandchildren’s events and stayed involved with everyone. She was an avid Blue Devil fan and always loved sports. Mildred attended often and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ringling.

Preceding her in death were her Parents; Husband, Ike Roberts- 1999; Daughter, Shirley Ann McCrite-1980 and Daughter, Gail Odom; Brothers, Cecil and Bill Lyle; Sisters, Pauline Lyle, Mattie Burns, Geneva Wade; Daughter-in-law, Pamela Roberts; Grandson, Joe Keith Thompson- 1992; infant Great Grandson, Isaac Brock Hammons in 2009; and Special Companion, Harry Goodman in 2013.

Survivors include her four sons, Joe L. Roberts and wife Betty of Ringling, Alan D. Roberts of Ringling, Larry Roberts and wife Jamie of Overbrook, Paul Roberts and wife Tristan of Burneyville; 2 Daughters, Pam Garner and husband Jim of Dickson, Keli Smith and husband Bryan of Ringling; Sisters, Kathleen Apala of Ringling, Betty Lamascus of Healdton; Brother, Roy Lyle and wife Betty of Healdton; Grandchildren, Davey Hammons, Colby Smith and wife Jacy, Sierra Gilliland and husband Kyce, John Paul Roberts and wife Katy, Sunni Roberts, Zach Smith, Peyton Roberts, Joey Roberts and wife Kelly, Kim Pybas and husband Steve, Brent Thompson, Chad Thompson, Zach Mitchell, Hunter Roe, Dr. Ken Garner and wife Lucy, Jill Burt and husband John; 17 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
