Nancy Estelle Wilkinson

Memorial Services for Nancy Estelle (Wood) Wilkinson, 84, of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday Jan. 20, 2024 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Jeff Jones officiating. 

Nancy was born Oct. 4, 1939 at Summer, MS to the late Mr. Hubert Wood and Mrs. Annie (Hembree) Box. She departed this life on Dec. 16, 2023 at Oklahoma City. 

Nancy moved to Leon as a young girl where she was raised. She married Mr. Melvin Wilkinson on Oct. 11, 1955  and they made their home in Ardmore raising their family.  

She spent her life as a cook in various places, moving to Gilmer, TX working at Camp Gilmont for more than 20 years. After her retirement she returned to Oklahoma. Nancy always enjoyed time spent with her family and listening to true classic country music. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and reading romance novels. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death are her parents; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; husband, Melvin- Dec. 15, 2010; sons, Mark and David Wilkinson; grandson, Mark Wilkinson and Stepfather Roy Box.

Survivors include her children, Melvin and Kila Wilkinson, Ricky and Beverly Wilkinson, all of Ardmore, Delores Wilkinson of Gilmer, TX, Robert Wilkinson of Rush Springs, and Nikki and Kenny Stewart of Lone Grove; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
