Nora B Mckinnon

Wilson- Funeral Services for Nora B. (Copeland) McKinnon, 96, of Wilson is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Bro. Billy Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Reck Cemetery south of Wilson. Services will be live-streamed on Alexander Gray Facebook page.

Nora was born on Sept. 21, 1924 at Dillard to the late Mr. Jasper and Clara Bell (Keith) Copeland. She departed this life on Tuesday morning February 16, 2021 at the Wilson Nursing Home.

Nora attended school at Zaneis and later married the late Mr. Taylor Richard McKinnon on March 8, 1942 . Primarily they made their home in Reck and Wilson raising their children. Nora was a devoted homemaker and also cleaned houses. Taylor preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1996. Since, Nora has remained in this area where she has enjoyed caring for her family. Nora was a member of the Reck Assembly of God Church and most recently attended church at the Gospel Tabernacle church of Ringling.

Also preceding her are her parents; children, Barbra Jean, Richard Wayne, Tony Lynn, Jimmy Dale and Cynthia Ann; siblings, Albert Hambright, Otto Copeland and Inez Gay; grandson, Scotty Gaither; daughter in law, Paulette McKinnon; and sons in law, Gerald Taylor and Hal Cochran.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Cochran of Kingston and Pamela Taylor of Ringling; daughters in law, Carolyn McKinnon of Gainesville and Tammy McKinnon-Martin of Ringling; special friend, Bill Stroud of Ringling; 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.

Casket bearers are Zach Taylor, Todd McKinnon, Cameron McKinnon, David Johnson, Dustin Weatherly, Eric Ramon, Rusty Allen and Robbie Cook.

Honorary bearer is Marvin Ellis.
