Peggie Ruth Pheasant

Peggie Ruth (Hudson) Pheasant, age 77, of Ringling, departed this life peacefully at her residence with her family at her side on Monday, June 10, 2019. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10AM Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling with Chaplain Matt Benedick officiating. Interment will follow in the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.

Peggie was born to the late Mr. Newton Alton Hudson and Mrs. Dora Irene (Copeland) Hudson in Ringling on July 28, 1941.

She grew up in Ringling and attended Ringling Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1959. She then married Mr. Wilbur “Bill” Pheasant on December 14, 1960 in Healdton. They then moved to Illinois for many years where they raised their children. She and Bill moved back to Ringling 29 years ago to be near family and start an automotive garage.

Peggie loved her family and always enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family. She was an avid reader and had a thirst for knowledge. Peggie enjoyed scrap booking and square dancing. She at one time was a member of a square dance club. She was fond of animals especially her cats. Peggie will be missed by all that knew and loved her.


Mrs. Pheasant is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Alisa Dell Legg in 2004.

She is survived by her husband Wilbur “Bill” Pheasant of the home in Ringling; son, Bill Pheasant of Peoria Il; son in law, Gregg Legg of Springfield, MO; grandson, Jason Legg and wife Marissa of Springfield, MO; great grandson, Gavin Legg of Springfield, MO; two brothers, Stanley Hudson and wife Bea of Ringling, Mike Hudson and wife Suzette of Zaneis; two sisters, Sally Boggs and husband Doug of Duncan, and Joyce Owens of Louisiana; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Mike Hudson, Stan Janson, Josh Hudson, Mark Gardner, Kenneth Thompson, and Brandon Thompson.

Visitation is scheduled for 6-8PM Friday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
