Wilson - Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Lou (McNeme) Snow, Fielding, Dowdy, 84 of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Assembly of God Church with Bro. Dale Tarp officiating. Interment will follow to Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Peggy was born November 12, 1937 in Kremmling, CO to the late Mr. Frank McNeme and Mrs. Valera McNeme. She departed from this life on Monday, July 4, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Peggy was raised in Wilson attending school there where she was a twirler. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1956. She married Ronnie Lee Snow and was blessed with 3 children, Rhonda, Tommy and Gary. He preceded her in death when he was 28 years old. Later, Peggy married Ray Fielding on October 6, 1967 and she was blessed with Ray's 3 children, Steve, Susan and Nancy and together they raised their children. He preceded her in death in 2004. On February 22, 2005, Peggy and Wayne Dowdy were united in marriage and blended their family together which she gained 2 more daughters and a son.

Peggy worked at various places throughout her life, Hamburger Inn, Super C and Dr. Rectors office. She was also engaged in family businesses including farming, raising cattle and parakeets, mini golf courses, laundromat, and running a general store. Peggy also helped raise all the kids in her family and to all of the local kids from the community, she was known as Granny. She loved her church, always putting church first in her life. Peggy attended many church functions and never missed a sporting event watching the kids and grandkids play. She enjoyed various table games, gardening, watching her hummingbirds, and she was well loved by her friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronnie; son, Steve; daughter, Rhonda and husband, Ray; siblings, Mary Alice Alexander, Betty Dunigan and JoAnn Vernon.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Thomas "Wayne" Dowdy of the home; children, Tommy Snow and Cyndi, Susan Sanders and Royce, Gary Snow and Janie, Nancy Stewart and Albert Sr., Jake Fielding and Carrie, Rusty Fielding and Kristin, Diesta Harris and Jackie, Mollie Trent and Tony, and Monty Creed; siblings, Kathleen Weaver; Frank McName, Jr.; grandchildren, Josh, Ronnie, Aaron, April, Misty, Monica, Steve, Andy, Lindsey, Joseph, Albert Jr., Alyssa, River, Sutton, Ryland, Emma, Todd, Austin, Megan, Stephanie, Landon, Julie and Josh; 34 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Carlile, Dennis Turpin, Earl Webb, Don Nabors, Travis Davis, and David Cormany.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
