Ardmore - Phillip Ray Tanner, of Lone Grove, departed this life on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Duncan Regional Hospital. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2021 at Victory Life Church in Ardmore with Jeremy Berryhill officiating. Interment will follow in the Newport Cemetery near Lone Grove. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. Services will be Facebook live.

Phillip Ray Tanner was born on September 28, 1964 in Tulsa, OK to Wilson and Dora Ann (Ratliff) Tanner the youngest of six children.
He grew up in the Bartlesville area graduating from College High School with the Class of 1982. Phillip began working with his father and brother learning masonry and construction at a young age. After graduating high school, he moved to Georgia for a short time and then back to Oklahoma. He moved to Lone Grove in 1995. He has worked for Allstate Termite and Pest Control for the past 24 years and was Operations Manager there.
Phillip married Ms. Cynthia Kay Griffin on February 8, 2013 in Branson, Missouri. They were the love of each other's lives and she will miss him greatly. Phil was a proud grandfather and always enjoyed the company of his large family. Phillip enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing and hunting were his favorite pastimes. Phillip held a strong faith in God and his love for the Lord was evident in all he put his hand to. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Ardmore.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Teresa Morgan, of Bartlesville and Linda Warren of Nixa, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Tanner of the home; son, Joshua Tanner of Bartlesville; step daughters, Jennifer Pryor and her husband Victor of Azle, TX and Stacey Boss and her husband, Thomas of Healdton; brother, Garry Tanner and his wife Mary Jo of Douglasville, Georgia; sisters, Jean Kellogg and her husband Richard of Newcastle; Deborah Chandler and her husband Michael of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, grandchildren, Jayden Tanner, Celesta Pryor, Kindal Pryor, and Colton Pryor; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be his Allstate Termite and Pest Control technicians, Johnny Boyer, David Brittain, Dennis Bart, Kregg Turner, Brandon Freeman, Keith Copeland, and Tim Ruminer.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Tanner and Jeremy Scherman.

Visitation is scheduled from 4 – 6:00 P.M. Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
