Raymond Ronald Nelson

Wilson – Graveside Services for Mr. Raymond Ronald Nelson, 78, of Ardmore was held 1:00 PM Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Hewitt Cemetery Pavilion in Wilson with Rev. Joe Taylor officiating. Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mr. Nelson was born July 21, 1933 at Greeley, NB. He departed this life Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Ardmore Veterans Home.

Mr. Nelson was born in Nebraska and moved early his life to California following work. He joined the United States Army and served 11 years honorably . He was decorated with several badges and medals for his devoted service including the Korean Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award, Driver and Mechanic Badge and Expert Badge with Carbine Bar. After the military, Mr. Nelson spent the rest of his working years as a Truck Driver hauling Freight and Goods all over the United Sates. He loved fishing in his spare time and also enjoyed Nascar Racing.

Survivors include his 2 dear friends, Mr. Jacky Glenn of Healdton and Mr. Ray Howell of Wilson.
