Reba Suzann Wright

Velma - Graveside services for Ms. Reba Suzann Wright, 65, formerly of Velma are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the New Velma Cemetery with Chris Dutton officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.

Reba was born on April 11, 1954 at Duncan, OK to Mr. Mallie Isaac Wright and Mrs. Frances Marie (Reynolds) Wright. She departed from this life on Friday, August 9, 2019 at her home in Burns Flat.

Reba was raised in Velma, graduating from Velma- Alma high School in 1972. She attended college at Chickasha for one year and then joined the U.S. Army serving honorably for two years. During her service she served as a Clerk stationed mainly in Germany. Upon discharge, she returned to this area working with the Department of Transportation. Reba eventually settled in the Burns Flat area working as a cook and waitress for a number of years. She was an avid reader and loved collecting rocks. Reba was a member of the Velma First Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death is her brother, Randy in 2005.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. Mallie and Mrs. Frances Wright of Velma; sister, Jana Loveall and husband Jerry of Velma; brother, Charles Wright and wife Cathy of Gering, NE numerous nephews, other family and friends.

Family visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 6 PM August 14th at Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.
