Ronald Lewis Renzelman

Wilson - Services for Mr. Ronald Lewis Renzelman, 76, of Wilson are scheduled at later date at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson.Inurnment with military honors will follow at Hewitt Cemetery.

Ron was born January 12, 1944 at Long Beach, CA to the late Mr. Herman "PeeWee" Millard Renzelman and Mrs. Ozella Odean (Jones) Renzelman. He departed this life on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the Ardmore Veterans Home.

Ron was raised primarily in Wilson graduating from Wilson High School in 1962. He attended college at Southeastern where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics.Thereafter, he joined the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of Captain and served two tours in the Vietnam War as fighter pilot of an F-4 phantom . He honorably served his country for a total of eight years.

Ron returned to California after his military service and began a life long career as an entrepreneur working within real estate and mortgage. He returned home to Wilson in 1994 and also co resided at Florida continuing to work within real estate.

Ron was proud of being a founding member of the American Iron Riders motorcycle club. Throughout the years he shared his vision benefiting several communities and numerous children. Ron always enjoyed lending a helping hand, volunteering at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Florida and locally at Mercy Hospital for several years.

Ron was known for having a great sense of humor and a listening ear without judgement, which made him a great friend to many. He loved all of his toys, especially his motorcycles. Ron will be missed by all who knew him...

Preceding him are his parents; companion, Beverly Whitehead and his best friend, Bill "Bubba" Russell.

Survivors include his children, Stanley Lewis Renzelman and his wife Linda of Ione, CA and Lisa Renzelman Blalock and husband David of Chula Vista, CA; three grandchildren, Jessica, Dale and Ryder; brother, Jerry Renzelman and partner, Gary Parker of Edmond; special cousin, Lee Ann Cox and husband John of Lake Texoma; special friends, Rae Ann Finley, Jim Branch, Luther Walker and Joe Race; and all of his brothers and sisters of the American Iron Riders club.
