Ronnie Lynn Burris

Ronnie Lynn Burris, of Lone Grove, departed this life on Monday, August 7, 2023 at his residence at the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 15 days. No services scheduled at this time. Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson is handling the cremation service.

Ronnie was born on October 23, 1950 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late Mr. John Ogden Burris and Mrs. Velma Ruth (Pollard) Burris.

He was raised in the Ardmore area and attended Plainview schools. Ronnie graduated with the Plainview Class of 1968. After graduation he joined the Army National Guard. Ronnie and Alice Jackson were united in marriage on May 7, 1971 at the Lake Murray Chapel. They made their home in Lone Grove for the past 50 years. Ronnie worked at Atlas roofing for over 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and playing with his grandchildren. Ronnie was an avid fan and supporter of OU. He loved everything OU.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, John and Velma Burris.

He is survived by wife, Alice (Jackson) Burris of the home; children, Angela Wall of Ardmore, Cheryl Donahue and husband Jason of Ardmore, and John Burris and wife Amanda of Lone Grove; grandchildren; Alan, Steven, Dalton, Ashlynn, Alex, Lynnden, and Leeroy; brother, Johnny Burris and wife Linda of Lone Grove; sisters, Sue Marr and husband Dale of Ardmore, Brenda Pickens and husband Gary of Lone Grove; mother in law, Annie Marie Jackson of Ardmore; many other relatives and a host of friends.
