Ruby Beatrice Harris

Wilson - Graveside Services for Ruby Beatrice "Bea" Harris, 91 of Pruitt City are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Bea was born February 9, 1932 in Ringling, OK to the late Mr. Walter Sye Strawn and Mrs. Nora Belle (Allen) Strawn. She departed from this life on Thursday, December 14, 2023 in Wilson.

Bea was raised in the Ringling and Wilson areas graduating from Rexroat Schools. She married Otis Albert Harris, Jr. on March 11, 1952 at Ardmore. Together they lived at Fox for 7 years before settling in Pruitt City in 1965. Bea enjoyed going and visiting with others and going to casinos. She enjoyed cooking for others and always had a jug of sweet tea ready. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and taking the grandkids crawdad fishing. Bea was a member of the Fox Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Otis; brothers, Geroge, Wilburn, Hershel, and Howard Strawn.

Bea is survived by her sons, Otis Harris and Merlin Harris and wife Anita; grandchildren, Kevin Harris and wife Amanda, Stephanie Garmon and husband Jason and Tyler Wood and girlfriend Tabitha; 9 great grandchildren, and by a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
