Ruby Carleane (Capehart) Simon

Ruby Carleane (Capehart) Simon, of Healdton, departed this life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Mercy Memorial Hospital of Ardmore at the age of 71 years, 6 months, and 26 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Febraury 5, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton with Michael "Taco" Sanchez and Matt Simon officiating. Interment will follow in the Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.

Ruby was born to the late Mr. J.E. Capehart and Mrs. Mary (Smith) Capehart on July 6, 1950 in Grady, Oklahoma.

Ruby primarily grew up in the Loco area and attended Fox schools. She graduated with the Fox High School Class of 1968. After graduation she married the late Mr. Danny Leon Simon, Sr., on May 17, 1968 in Wichita Falls, TX. She was a excellent homemaker and cared for her disabled son for many years. Ruby and Danny made their home in Healdton where they would raise their family. Ruby enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint work, crappie fishing and loved passing time at the casino gambling. She also set wells for B&C Backhoe, LLC.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Danny Leon Simon, Sr.(2021); son, Dustyne Shayne Simon(2008); and a brother Delbert Capehart.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Sandra Spellman and husband Donn of Healdton; sons, Mike Simon and wife Katherine of Healdton, Danny "Chop" Leon Simon, Jr. and wife Mindy of Lexington; brother, J.B. Capehart; sisters, Faye Bulla of Sulphur, Ettie Justus of Healdton, and Rosie Capehart of Mead; grandchildren, Phillip, Matthew, Jesse, Donn Robert, and Bella; 9 great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip Snooks, Matt Simon, Donn Robert Spellman, Jesse Henry, Bella Spellman, and Terry Justus.

Honorary bearers will be Zoe Clayburn, Maddie Canada, Lucas Gonzales, Landon Snooks, Conrad Simon, Ryit Snooks, Eli Simon, and Ruby Snooks.

Visitation will be held prior to service from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
