Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Sammie Sue (Midkiff) Isaacs, 80, of Wilson is scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday , July 23, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Wilson with Rev. J.B. Lovelace and Tyler Shores officiating. Interment will follow at Simon Cemetery south of Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Sammie was born November 30, 1932 at Collinsville, TX to the late Mr. Sam Houston Midkiff and Mrs. Icie Missel (Vigus) Midkiff. She departed this life Friday, July 19, 2013 at Wilson.

Sammie was raised at Collinsville, TX. She married Mr. Tom Isaacs on March 27, 1956 at Marietta and to this union came 6 children. She worked part time including Avon, Stanley Tupperware Sales, read water meters in Wilson, helped kids with paper routes, worked as a home provider for 30 years, janitor at the First Baptist Church for 41 years, baby sat grandchildren for 33 years and was well known as the snow cone lady at Tisha’s Sno Ball in Wilson for the past 28 years. When she wasn’t running the sno ball stand she was always busy at the First Baptist Church of Wilson teaching Sunday School, working with WMU’s and Bible School. She was an Avid Sports fan and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Wilson. Above all, her proudest moments were providing and caring for her Children and Grandchildren.

Preceding her in Death is her Parents; Parents in laws – Lester and Pearl Isaacs; Siblings, Ruby Dale Midkiff, Tina Louise King and husband Ed, Bob Midkiff and wife Faye, Bill Midkiff and JoAnn McNairn; Sister in law, Berniece Lawson and husband Paul; Son, Michael Gene Isaacs- June of 2006, Granddaughter Perry Isaacs – August of 2007; Grandson in law, Tipton Utt - February 2005 and son in law, Norman Griffin - January of 2011.

Survivors include Husband Tom Isaacs; Children, Tommi Sue Idleman and husband Gary of Wilson, Toni Isaacs of Ardmore, Monte Isaacs and wife Christi of Wilson, Marlin Isaacs and wife JoAnn of Carnes, MS and Tisha Welch and husband Bobby of Wilson; Sisters, Carol Harmon of San Angelo, TX and Glenda Cagle and husband Neil of Arlington, TX; Sister in law, Dorothy Midkiff of Waxahachie, TX; Brother in law, W.L. McNairn of Collinsville, TX; Grandchildren, Stacy McMahan and husband Lynn, Danah Isaacs, Gary Joe Idleman and wife Te, Jason Dillard, Jarad Dillard, Jay Michael Isaacs, Caycee Griffin, Macy Griffin, Elizabeth Isaacs, Abigail Isaacs, John Lambert, Paden Isaacs, Cody Isaacs, Samara Welch, Tucker Welch, and Buck Welch; Great Grandchildren, Lane McMahan, Garrett McMahan, Landon Utt, Caiden Dillard, Hadley Idleman and Tate Idleman; Numerous other nieces, nephews, other family members and a multitude of friends.

Pallbearers are Gary Idleman, Gary Joe Idleman, Lynn McMahan, Jay Michael Isaacs and Jarad Dillard.

Honorary Bearers are the Men of the First Baptist Church and her nephews.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Monday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
