Healdton - A celebration of Life Service for Sandra "Sandy" Deanne (Simon) Spellman, 50, of Healdton are scheduled for 2pm Thursday June 6, 2024 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton with Rev. Taco Sanchez officiating and nephew Matt Simon assisting. Interment will follow at the Mount Olive Cemetery of Healdton. 

Sandy was born on Jan. 19, 1974 at Ardmore to the late Danny Leon Simon and Ruby Carleane (Capehart) Simon. She departed this life on Sunday morning June 2, 2024 at McKinney, TX. 

Sandy was a native to Healdton where she graduated High School with the class of 1992. There she began many lifelong friendships with many of her classmates including her best friend and husband, Donn Spellman. Their first date was on April 19th, 1989, and they have been inseparable ever since. They united in marriage on August 16, 1992, just after their graduation at Sandy's parents' house in Healdton. 

They first resided in South Carolina following Donns military enlistment and returned to Healdton in 1995. Sandy worked some with home health caring for the elderly, but most of all concentrated on being a devoted mother and wife to her family. She never missed a sporting event for her children and was always their biggest fan. She was an avid fisherman always loving to fish at the Healdton Lake for catfish and crappie. Most of all, Sandy always wanted to uplift others with her generous and caring ways which were known by anyone who crossed her path. 

Preceding her in death are parents and two brothers, Dustyne Shayne Simon and Michael "Mike" Lynn Simon. 

Survivors include her loving husband. Donn Spellman of the home; daughter, Bella Spellman of the home; son, Donn Robert Spellman, II of Healdton; brother, Danny "Chop" Simon and wife Mindy of Lexington; numerous other family and friends. 

Casket Bearers are Russell Hudson, Gavin Moore, Devon Treadwell, Phillip Snooks, Nick Timmons, James Wingo, James O'Dell and Terry Allred. 

Honorary Bearers are Dale Shaw, Terry Shaw, Terry Justus, Jennifer King, Misty Treaster, Sharon Allred, Dianna Coatney, Melissa Perry and Greg Perry.

Family visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.
