Sharlott Ann Driver

Velma - Funeral Services for Mrs. Sharlott Ann Driver, 66 are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 30, 2022 at Velma Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Taylor officiating.  Interment will follow to New Velma Cemetery.  Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Velma Chapel. 

Sharlott was born October 6, 1956 in Fort Worth, TX to Mr. Loye Kenton Norton and Mrs. Melba Charlene (Cooksey) Norton.  She departed from this life on Friday, December 23, 2022 in Duncan, OK.

Sharlott was raised in Riveroaks, TX attending school at North Richland Hills High School.  She married Mr. James A. Driver on July 1, 1977 in North Richland Hills, TX and to this union, they were blessed with two sons, Jad and Steven.  Sharlott volunteered at all of her boys sporting events when they were younger and was the best grandmother to her grandchildren and tried to spend as much time as she could with them.  She has worked as a clerk at local convenient stores and grocery stores, most recently at Sunrise Foods in Velma. 

Preceding her in death was her mother, Melba; son, Steven Aaron Driver; nephews, Clifton Scott Norton and Jacob Andrew Norton; grandparents, Clifton and Alta Norton and Charles and Mary Cooksey.

Sharlott is survived by her husband, James of the home; son, Jad Driver and wife Sue; daughter in law, Ashlie Driver and Joe McCormick; granddaughters, Alysyn Rae Driver and Bella Grace Driver; grandson, Grayson Scott Driver; father, Loye Kenton Norton; brothers, Pat Norton and Char Kilcrease and Bobby Norton and wife Pam; nieces, Mindy Fisher, Kelli Myers, and Stephanie Hebb; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jad Driver, Kenneth Driver, Johnny Boyer, Justin Pedigo, Jimmy Sanner, and Noel Cisneros.  Honorary bearers will be Justin Wilkerson, Alex Wilkerson, and Brandon Wright.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.
