Terri Dawn Smart

Ratliff City - Funeral Services for Mrs. Terri Dawn Smart, 56 of Ratliff City are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Ratliff City Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating and Larry Smart assisting.  Interment will follow to Ratliff City Cemetery.  Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Terri was born to the late Mr. James Ray Smart and Mrs. Jimmie Faye (Pierce) Smart on January 3, 1966 in Ardmore, OK.  She departed from this life on Saturday, December 24, 2022 in Fox, OK.  

Terri grew up and lived in the Fox area her entire life.  She attended Fox Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1984 and went to Murray State College with an Associate's Degree.   Terri was the proudest mother to her only son, Kyle whom she followed for many miles and years throughout his many sporting and livestock events.  The love and support continued for her grandchildren over the last few years. Terri was the best mother and Mimi anyone could ask for.  She was very caring and would go to the ends of the earth for those she loved and cared about.  Terri was also an amazing cook and would often cook for all the football and basketball teams that Kyle was a part of.  She was a hard-working woman, sometimes having 2 to 3 jobs at a time and was employed over 20 years for the Oklahoma DOC.  Terri also enjoyed getting together for bunco and painting parties.

Preceded her in death was her father, James Ray Smart and a sister, Dana Denise (Smart) Hoggard. 

Terri is survived by her son, Kyle Smart and wife Baylee of Ratliff City; mother, Jimmie Faye Smart of the home; brother, Ray Smart of Fox; nephews, Justin Smart and wife Haley, Kent Smart and wife Stacy, and Brent Smart; nieces, Avery Hoggard and Bethani Ross; grandchildren, Bowen, Oakley, Lucca, and Taytum; and by a host of other family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Kent Smart, Justin Smart, John Hankins, Nubbin McClennanhan, Cary Dale Tivis, and Sammy Hoggard.  Honorary bearers will be Rickey Stewart, Ray Smart, Brent Smart, Brandon Perkins, Jace Jenkins, Bradley Johnson, the Fox Class of 2007 and all former Co-workers of DOC.  

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
