Wilson ~ Graveside services for “Big Tom” Curran, 52, of Healdton is scheduled for 10 am Thursday September 4, 2008 at the Bomar Pt. Cemetery Pavilion in Wilson with Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City .

Tom was born April 11, 1956 at Wilson , OK to Mr. Ira David “Dave” and Mrs. Mary Faye ( Rogers ) Curran. He departed this life Monday September 1, 2008 at Ardmore .

Tom was raised in Healdton graduating High School from there in 1974. He married the former Ms. Barbara Jean Mefford June 1, 1974 at the Fox Baptist Church . He was employed at Deans Well Service for 25 years as a Rig Operator and was presently employed at Basic Energy as a tool pusher. When Tom wasn’t working he loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Preceding him in death is his Father, Mr. Dave Curran who passed away in 1993 and his wife Barbara (Mefford) Curran in 1992.

Survivors include his Daughter, Anna Jean Curran of Healdton, Son, Steven Aubrey Curran and Melissa of Weatherford, TX. Tom’s Fiancé, Dorine Dodd of Fox, Mother, Mary Curran of Healdton, 2 Sisters, Sherry Tadlock and husband Jim of Healdton, Cindy Simpson and husband Mark of Ratliff City. 2 Grandchildren Nicklas Baird and Barbara Lara. Numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Pallbearers will be Adam Ogle, Craig Perkins, Jerry Smith, Joe Mitchell, Bobby Tadlock, Johnny Walker, Tim Johnson, and Ron Jenkins.

Honorary Bearers will be the Employees of Basic Energy.

Family visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home in Ratliff City .

The family has also requested that in honor of Tom’s passion for hunting and fishing, that everyone who attends the service wear there choice of camouflage or outdoor gear.
