Tommie Joe Brown

Mr. Tommie Joe Brown was born on September 24, 1953 in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Mr. Leslie Neal Brown and Mrs. Etheyl Beatrice (Brumley) Brown. He departed this life on Friday, March 3, 2023 at his residence in Lone Grove at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 9 days.

Tommie was always known as Poochie Brown. He attended school at Dickson. Tommie moved around to several different places but always came back to the Ardmore area. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He drove 18 wheelers hauling cattle and horses for the Lazy S Ranch and others. He was a pipeline inspector and obtained his CPWI and became an inspector for the pipeline. Tommie was a great cook. He was a good dad, great Papa and brother. His sisters were his favorites. Tommie was a great dancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debra Brown; daughter Tara Brown; brother, Douglas Neal “Buck” Brown.

Tommie is survived by his daughters, Tracy Hess and Shane of Milo, Christie Brown of Lone Grove, Ashley VanCleave and Brandon Busse of Moore and Taylor Aaron and Trevor of Kingston; Chelsea and three sons, Dakota ,Ethan and Tyler; sisters, Carol Upton of Ardmore and Elizabeth Brown-Cryer of Ardmore. Brothers, Jack Brown and Evelyn of Lone Grove and Jimmy “Woody” Brown of Lone Grove, sister-in-law, Judy Brown of Ardmore; grandkids, Lyndsay, Logan, Kaylee, Justyn, Jayson, Aaron, Ashton, Denver, Landon and Bailey. 10 Great Grands and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
