Valerie Jean Gray

Valerie Jean Gray, of Healdton, departed this life on Sunday, May 8, 2022 in St. Francis Hospital of Tulsa at the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 24 days. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 13, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton with Bro. Dan Stewart officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.

Valerie was born to the late Mr. Huston Gray and Mrs. Myrtle (Allabush-McGee) Gray on August 15, 1957 in Woodward, OK.

Valerie and Mr. Tommy Ray Dudley were united in marriage on May 14, 1974 in Gainesville, TX. Together they would make their home in Wilson in then move to Healdton where they would begin their family. She was a devoted homemaker and mother. Valerie was very in involved in her children’s lives and was very active in church pageants and making their costumes. Valerie was an excellent seamstress, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, watching T.V. series, reading especially medical books. When the casinos first opened she enjoyed going to the casinos. She would later finish her family with Doyce Norman and have her last two children. Valerie was a proud member of the Makah Native American Tribe and enjoyed sharing her heritage and culture with her family and friends. She was of the Christian faith and was a former member of the Midway Baptist Church of Healdton.

Mrs. Gray is preceded in death by her parents; husband Tommy Ray Dudley; sisters, Myra (Allabush) Warner and Margaret Allabush; and brother, Vincent “Ollie” Allabush.

She is survived by her children, George Ray Dudley of Healdton; Roxana Young of Healdton; Sharon Allred and husband Terry of Healdton; Kimberly Norman of Tuscon, AZ; and Ravyn Norman of Healdton; former husband, Doyce Norman of Healdton; sister, Wanda Pierce and husband Steve of Neah Bay, WA; brothers, Mark Gray and John “Pork” Leonard; grandchildren, Kassie Allred, Kendal Allred, Monica Dudley, Ronnie Young, Jakayla Wilson, Tyler Young, Mahallie Allred, Demetria Mays, and Theon Cottrell; 12 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Her five children will be serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton.
