Velma Lois Mcclurg

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mrs. Velma Lois (Hammond) McClurg, 88 formally of Ringling are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery in Stephens County, OK.  

Velma was born July 29, 1935 in Dixie to the late Mr. Carl Brinkley Hammond and Mrs. Vina Gertrude (Martin) Hammond Cluff.  She departed from this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in Denton, TX. 

Velma was raised primarily in Oklahoma in her younger years moving to Denton, TX when she was a teenager attending school there.  She moved back to this area in the mid 1970's.  Velma worked in retail in her younger years, worked for Dr. Khanna as a health aid for 6-7 years, but most of all, she was a devoted homemaker.  

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Wallace Cluff and Jessie Hammond; and a son, Wayne Hall. 

Velma is survived by her son, Jeffery Stout of Denton; daughter, Donna Jones of Tulsa; grandchildren, Melissa Weischedel, Chris Humphrey and wife Tanya, Nicholas Stout, and Shytana Hall; great grandchildren, Trenton Humphrey, Chasen Hall, David, Ethan, Brian Weischedel, Jessica Weischedel, and Matthew Weischedel; great great grandchildren, Daisey. Margaret, and Kooper; and by a host of other family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Chris Humphrey, Trenton Humphrey, Nicholas Stout, Rick Kvaal, David Hammond, Travis Kvaal, and Chasen Hall.  Honorary bearers will be Brian Weischedel and Matthew Weischedel.
