Virginia Agnes Nicholson

Wilson- Graveside Services for Virginia Nicholson, 90, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Moore Cemetery in Moore, OK. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, OK.

Virginia Agnes Nicholson was born March 11, 1924 in Wilson, Oklahoma to Mr. Clyde George Crouch and Mrs. Winnie Ethel (Hefner) Crouch. She passed from this life Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Virginia was raised in Wilson, attending school there, later working as a nurse at Ft Sill where she met her future husband “Nick”. She married Mr. Claybourne Addison “Nick” Nicholson on July 27, 1950in Wichita Falls, TX. Nick was in the U.S. Army as a career, which required them to move around a lot. They resided at several military bases including Germany, Japan, and Bolivia. After Nick retired from the military they made their home in Moore, OK. where they were members of the Southgate Baptist Church. Virginia enjoyed doing crafts, arts, and interior decorating.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Nick, her son Robert Allen Nicholson, her parents, and her siblings; Bonnie Reed, Lois Kimbrell, Modell Emerson, Ona Lee Eads, Homer Crouch, Dorthy Gamble, and Jo Neva Moore.

She is survived by her Grandson, James Clay Nicholson of Moore, her sister, Pauline Neal of Amarillo, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
