Wilson- Funeral services for Vivian Lozella (Martin) Webb, 75, of Wilson, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday 12, 2022, at the Assembly of God Church in Wilson with Bro. Jim McGaughy officiating. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Vivian was born June 29, 1947, at Wilson, to the late Mr. Barney Martin and Mrs. Lillian “Sis” (Weatherford) Martin. She departed this life Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Duncan, OK.
Vivian was raised in Wilson, attending school there. She attended Beauty College in Fort Worth, TX and worked in her beauty shop for many years, retiring 4 years ago due to health issues.
The former Vivian Cunningham and Sonny James were united in marriage February 14, 1985, at Wilson. They spent twenty-five treasured years together.
Vivian was co-owner and operated “The Junque Store” on Main Street of Wilson for several years and was always very active in the community. Vivian was a regular volunteer for many organizations and individuals throughout the community always lending a hand. She was a member of the Wilson Assembly of God Church.
After Sonny’s death, Vivian and Earl Webb met and developed a great lasting friendship enjoying each other’s company, learning square dancing together, playing board games, loving bluegrass music, and were tractor club members. They were later united in marriage on October 26, 2013. Together they enjoyed nine wonderful years of marriage, traveling, camping, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
Vivian played the role of “Mrs. Claus” for many years during the annual Wilson Christmas parade until her health would no longer allow her to continue.
Vivian or “Granny”, as she was affectionately known, was blessed with a blending of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; brothers, Jim Davis and Bobby Davis; son, Shane Cunningham; daughter-in-law, Kalinda Overby and grandson, D.J. Cunningham.
Survivors include her husband Earl of the home; son, Donald Cunningham of Wilson; brother, Travis “Dude” Davis and wife Deloris of Kingston; sisters, Joyce Scott and her husband, Patrick of Duncan, Geraldine Delano, and Fern Willeby, both of Wilson; sister-in-law, Cheryl Bowman and husband Bill of California; grandchildren, Erin James of Edmond, CeJae and husband Caleb Schupp of Gilmer, TX, Christian McGirt and fiancé Blake Garrity of Edmond, Hadley Overby of Gilmer, TX, Adley and Mattie Webb of Marietta, Ayden Miller, Jayden, Warren, Noah, Sophia, and Willow McDonald all of Ringling; children, Brad Webb and wife Amber of Marietta, TeLisa McDonald and husband Larry of Ringling, Aaron Webb of Ringling, and Kelly McGirt of Edmond; great Grandchildren, Kinni Schupp, Brentley Entwistle, and D.J. McGirt; numerous other special family and a host of lifelong friends.
Pallbearers will be Brad Webb, Arron Webb, Randy Webb, Caleb Schupp, Blake Garrity, and Larry McDonald.
Honorary bearers are Joe Dethloff, Wayne Dowdy, Richard Marrs, Dude Davis, and Patrick Scott.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 3-5 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
