Wayne Alva Barnett

Mr. Wayne Alva Barnett, 60, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at his residence south of Wilson after a lengthy battle with diabetes and kidney failure.

Wayne was born November 16, 1954 at Watonga, OK to Mr. Alva Lee Barnett and Mrs. Lahoma Stringer Barnett. He was raised in Canton, OK and graduated from Canton High School in 1973. He worked in the oil fields all of his life. He followed a rig to Montana where he met and made many friends. He moved to Wilson in 1982 where he met his future wife Melanie Gayle Barnes. They were married on his 30th birthday, November 16, 1984 in Wilson, OK. They would have celebrated their 31st anniversary on November 16.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Alva Lee Barnett on August 5, 1970 and his oldest sister Mrs. Kay Lea Coffee. He was also preceded in death by his beloved fur babies; Foxie, Peanut, Pepper, Abby and Bitbit.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Melanie, of the home; mother, Lahoma Barnett of Wilson, OK; sister, Rose Ann Newton of Wilson, OK; brother, Charles Barnett and wife Lana of Apache, OK; father and mother in law, Jim and Pearlene Barnes of Wilson, OK; sister in law, Amanda Cicio and husband Chris of Durant, OK; brothers in law, Keith Barnes and wife Melissa and Alan Barnes and wife Jodi, all of Wilson, OK. Nephews, Kevin Newton, Monte Newton, Brad Newton, Jacob Barnes, Sean Barnes and Connor Cicio; nieces, Stephanie Cormany, Kayla Barnett, Macy Barnett Huggins, Ashley Barnes, Katy Barnes, Alysha Barnes and Hailey Cicio. Numerous great nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members including fur babies Snowball, Daisy, Tootsie, and Lucy.

Special cousins Darwin Allen and wife, Brenda and his best friend Mike Lyle.
