Wynette Irene Devenport

Wilson - Graveside ceremonies are scheduled for Mrs. Wynette "Irene" (Gregg) Devenport, 78, of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 PM  Wed. Dec. 16, 2020 at the Bomar Point Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Gary O'Neal officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson. 
Irene was born March 12, 1942 at Henderson, TX to the late Mr. Don Dan Gregg and Mrs. Dorothy Virginia  (Branscom) Gregg. She departed this life on Thursday Dec. 10, 2020 at her home in Healdton. 
Irene was raised in Elmore City attending school there. After graduation she remained there until gaining employment as a hemstress at Kelwood of Pauls Valley. She worked there for many years until its closing . Irene married Kenneth Linker in 1992 and he preceded her in 1998. 
Irene moved to Healdton in 2001. She married Mr. Charley Devenport on March 20, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Wilson. He too preceded her in death on February 26, 2019. Irene since has enjoyed drawing, painting and spending time with her grandchildren. Irene was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Maysville. 
Also preceding her in death was her parents and her sister, Cora Pollard. 
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Wynette Cottrell and husband Scotty of Healdton; grandchildren, Beth Cottrell, Dylan Cottrell, Sadie S. Wynette Cottrell; great grandchildren, Trent, Lil Shawn, Curtis, Jacob, Adeline, Matrim, Luke and Sasha Wynette; brother, Don Gregg, Jr. and wife Yoshiko of Wichita Falls, TX; sisters, Louise Rankin of Davis and Mary Bivins and husband Rex of Purcell; numerous other family and friends. 
Honorary Bearers are Dylan Cottrell and Terry Cottrell. 
The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Stephen Treadwell and the ladies of Ideal Home Health and the Elara Hospice Care.
