Alford Dee Clinton Miller

Alford Dee Clinton Miller, 89, of Ringling, OK was born February 18, 1936, to the late Mr. Joe Miller and Mrs. Alice (Fondren) Miller.  He went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 21, 2025, in Ardmore, OK.

As a young boy, he and his brother would travel from Healdton to Ardmore by walking or catching a ride with the mail truck so they could watch a movie.  Then they would catch a ride back to Healdton on the ice truck.  Alford served in the United States Air Force.  He married Donna Camplain in 1955 and to that union, they were blessed with six children.  Alford lived in T or C, New Mexico for a while and returned to the Healdton-Ringling areas to be with his grandchildren. 

Alford loved being with his family and friends.  He enjoyed going for rides, shopping, site seeing, watching old war movies, playing his guitar and most of all, treasure hunting.  Alford worked as carpenter, in the oilfields and last as a journeyman electrician.  Alford was a man who loved life but loved his Lord more. 

Preceded him in death was his parents; son, Roger Miller, daughter, Teresa Gayle Mitchell; granddaughters, Donna Marie Miller and Jessie Miller.

Alford is survived by his children, Dennis and Betty Miller, Vonda and Dave Gardner, Don and Donna Miller, and Susan and Kenny Smith and Shay Carr who he treated as a daughter; grandchildren, William Clint Miller, Curtis, Jason, Tony, Jacob, Mark and Eric Gardner, Jody, Randy, and Steven Mitchell, Amanda and Bridget Miller, Gregg and Jeff Smith, Levi Miller, Frank Miller, and Janet Miller; 36 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brothers, JL Miller and Alvin Glenn; sister, Veda Coker; and by a host of other family and friends. 

Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling. The family are planning a memorial service at a later date.
