Homegoing services for Mr. Alvie Henry "Junior " Ogle, Jr., aged 101, of Claypool, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Ringling. Officiating will be his son-in-law, Reverend Bruce Humphries, assisted by Bill Riddle. Interment with military honors will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Born on September 5, 1924, in Oscar to Alvie Henry Ogle, Sr. and Carrie Laveia (Dugan) Ogle, Jr. passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, at his home in Claypool. Raised on a family ranch between Claypool and Waurika, Junior attended school in Claypool, graduating in 1943. Afterward, he was drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II, where he served honorably. Upon returning home, he worked on his uncle's ranch before moving to Jal, New Mexico, to work for El Paso Natural Gas Company. In August 1946, he returned to Oklahoma to marry his Claypool sweetheart, Bernice Gay. They moved back to New Mexico, where he continued with the Gas Company, traveling through New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona for nine years. During this time, they welcomed three children. In 1955, he returned to their farm at Claypool with his family, raising cattle and horses while working as a carpenter in the Healdton area until his retirement in 1988.

He loved raising colts each year, training them to be good ranch and roping horses. He was a part of an Old Timers Roping club until an injury prevented him from continuing. Dedicated to his community, he was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Ringling, teaching Sunday School for many years and serving as a deacon since 1986. He also belonged to the Masonic Lodge for over sixty years.

Predeceased by his wife Bernice on December 27, 2020, as well as his parents, sisters Juanita Sowder and Yvonne Goolsby, and brother Edge Ogle.

He is survived by his daughters Ahonna Engelke (Joe) of Hempstead, TX, and Linda Humphries (Bruce) of Waurika; son Floyd Ogle of Lone Grove; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, along with many other church family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dale Riley, Terry McLemore, Dusty Nelson, Dakota Zachary, Mike Williams, and Tom Holt.
